Why your logbook service is important?

It's an effective approach to car maintenance where regular inspections and small fixes can keep your vehicle running smoothly. A logbook service is based on your vehicle's mileage/time interval (eg 10,000km or 12 months). It can also prevent small problems turning into major damage which could be costly to repair. Generally, lubricants and filters are replaced along with wearing items, such as the vehicles brakes.

Why you change your oil every year even if you don’t drive much?

Oil, like anything, degrades over time, and if you have oil degrading in your engine for months and months, it is not good for your vehicle. The longer it sits, the less viscous it becomes therefore, the less effective it will be at keeping various engine components properly lubricated. Vehicles that are consistently driven for short periods or distances do not have the opportunity to reach the necessary operating temperatures to generate enough heat to burn off the moisture particles in the oil. This is especially important in diesel engines with DPF systems as it can cause premature blockage, which is a costly repair.
